Children’s Mental Health Week – Lets Connect
Dear Parent/Carer,
This week we are supporting Children’s Mental Health week to raise awareness of the importance of children and young people’s mental health. This year’s theme is “Let’s Connect”.
Throughout the week your child will be engaging in a year group assembly and completing form time activities to support Children’s Mental Health week. This will be a great opportunity for your child to connect with their teachers and their peers. Some students will be taking part in workshops with our wellbeing practitioner Mrs Evans on Wednesday 10th February. Separate letters will be sent to those students who are participating in the wellbeing workshops which take place during the school day.
On Friday 10th February there will be a bake sale in diner 1 where we will be raising money to support young people who are suffering with their mental health so please feel free to make a small donation if you wish.
Alongside this we will also be celebrating Safer Internet day on Tuesday 7th February where we will be talking to our young people about staying safe online and listening to their voice about making positive changes online.
Please see the handout below for you to use at home with your child.
